need help please
the tutorial does not make sense to me so im posting here
i have 512mb ram
how big should my swap file be?
i have it set at 2000
but that was when i was using 128 mb ram

Your swap should be double your RAM, typically. As an example, I have 512 MB RAM, and I have my paging file set for 768-1536 MB (you have the option to specify a range, and then Windows will dynamically alocate swap file space as it needs it).

Personally I'd set it a little lower, but it will not hurt anything really set at that size. The worst that will happen is your pc will be slightly slower due to using more swap than it has to....but it probably wouldn't be that noticeable anyways.
So you should be fine

i wouldnt touch ... let windows deal with it ... it tends to start all sorts of problems if windows doesnt allocate ...
