I was testing to see if you could use things like links colored text marquees ect in guestbook posts and got this error
CODE
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: regex_build_url() in /sources/Guestbook.php(183) : regexp code on line 1

after I made post with that stuff in it.
My new rule is if the buttons aren't there don't try put the stuff in.

Now a request bfarber could you possibly fix this problem.

I just realized I misspelled guest in my topic title,

Sorry about that rolleyes.gif

1. The icon in the topic view was because I was playing with it yesterday to get rid of the javascript error and then I lost the icon. Now both should be gone (the javascript error was from the quickreply box).

2. The online list was my fault. Well...I followed the directions for the install and I thought I doublechecked everything afterwards, but it was jacked up. All I had to do was move the provided code down two lines and that fixed it though (php don't like functions inside functions rolleyes.gif ).

3. And your guestbook entries weren't from the extra tags....the code was bad. I saw that when I went back and looked at it. You tried to use an
CODE
[url=...

didn't you? wink.gif The author of the hack never put the function into the script to convert it, but yet was calling that function. All I had to do was copy and paste 90% of the code from my post_parser into the guestbook script. Granted if I was better with php I could've figured out how to just requre the script I needed to parse the GB, but I couldn't figure that out. But it's fixed now AND I even added the UBBC support into the guestbooks (those nice spoiler, glow, me, and flash tags, among the other non-standard ones).

Sorry and thanks for the heads up. It should be all fixed now!

Yea I was testing to see if you could use urls and what not. Which didn't work. I figured if it didn't have the functions for them it would skip the codes and write it as regular text.
Guess I was wrong.

Well that was definitely something on my end. For the extra tags like vflip and hflip and glow it would have skipped them. For url however it actually calls a function to change the url tags into html "a" tags and the function wasn't in the script.

The guy that wrote it is excellent, but that is a serious bug and I'm glad you found it before someone less understanding did. And while I was at it I went ahead and added the cool extras with it.

But that's fixed and thanks for the heads up. We can now call you a "Beta" tester smile.gif tongue.gif
