My custom themes wont work properly., they half work.

when i try to apply the themes they ..half work. Everything pretty much works but it looks like windows classic, the colors, background, icons and sounds work but not the windows or start menu. i used a patcher from the tutorials, and tryed again but i got the same problem. i tried using xpstyles but it says it is not compatible with my windows version. someone please help me.

What version of windows are you using? - Most of these themes only work on Win XP.
