If you have the answer to this really annoying bug, please share
because this has got to be the most difficult thing yet and its only simple HTML and CSS which is just noobed out to the max.

It sounds like you need to use margin instead (which is intended to give space on the outside of the element)...or give padding to the element that contains the input tag (the div or td cell).
