Before you tear the hair out of your head trying to figure out exactly how to create those awesome custom login screens you see here, you should be advised that YOU CAN TOO!!!

If you are looking to create your own login screens, this forum can be invaluable, but our tutorials are unmatched (believe me, I've checked wink.gif tongue.gif ).

To access the tutorials, just click here!

If you are still having trouble, then feel free to post in this forum.

OK I'm the new guy on the block. I'm The Hauck,
I've made my new logon and boot screens, and they work.
My question is how come my new logon dose not display the welcome message I added, and why dosen't the "Logging Off....",
"Saving your Settings....", and the Windows is Shutting Down....",
Dialogs appear as they did with the original screens? This is really confusing, as I would like to wrap up (zip up) these files and pass them on with no bugs. Like some of the ones i downloaded.
Any help would be great

Those text strings aren't actually in the login.

I believe they are either in msgina.dll or in user.exe (but I haven't actually found them myself wink.gif ).

cabletoru says.... Greetz Bfarber!! w00t.gif Love the site, tutorials etc... In response to post #2..(probably you have found a solution by now), but I found that by editing the "neon biohazard" logins by Narcissus you still see those closing messages. Now if anyone can tell me how to change the colour of them wink.gif I also have a question, with regards to error messages post changing login screens. The error I get occurs when I try to access msconfig. The message is "The procedure entry point GetProcessFlags could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll". It never occured prior to changing. Has anyone else ever had this? Is there a way to remedy it? As yet I have put off trying to change my startup config incase I cause some unknown and irrecoverable fault.

Found this (relates to Novel networks, if that's what you are running on)

Problem launching Nalexpld on Win2K

Question: TV wrote: On a Win2000 machine I received this error message when launching Nalexpld: Nalexpld - entry point not found

The entry point of procedure GetProcessFlags in dynamic linked library KERNEL32.dll could not be found. (I do not know if this is exact in English because I use Czech Win2000). How to resolve this issue?

Answer: TV solved his own problem and sent the answer. "Ok, I have resolved this problem. I found that I have a copy of netwin32.dll in my sys:public directory. When I deleted it, Nal explorer starts normally."

And yet on a French site (which goolge translated awefully sad.gif ), it appears this error is a result of items starting up at boot. It indicates to remove as many shortcuts from your Start->All Programs->Startup folder as you can, and then to navigate in regedit (Start->Run->Regedit) to
CODE
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- SOFTWARE
- Microsoft
- Windows
- CurrentVersion
- Run

and remove any entries that don't start with "C:\Windows" or have common system names such as "System Tray". Be careful doing this. wink.gif , however removing startup items USUALLY won't harm much as they will start up when called upon. smile.gif

Hope this helps! biggrin.gif
