Our partner site, Widescreen XP has just launched their forums and is openly inviting all artists to come by and visit. They have a Downloads section and Links section, open to the public, so that you may share files and site links with others who have the same interests. Please take a moment and check them out whenever you can. Thanks! biggrin.gif

I have a question BF. WS and I have both of our forums hosted by the same person. We have both noticed that when we are logged into both sites and going back and forth -- we each have to relog into the respective site everytime we do anything in the other.

example -- I am logged into my forums and Wide's forums. I post a reply in Wide's forums, and then go and try to make a replly in my forums, I get an error saying that I need to login first -- when in fact I am already logged in -- and vice-versa.

Wide came up with a sound theory that it's a cookie thing being that we have forums on the same host. Is this the case -- or should we be able to go back and forth with no problems like that?

It's not really a problem for me, just sometimes annoying to have to relog.

Yes, it's the cookies because of the same domain name (same host).

All you need to do is set individual cookie prefixes.

Wide, set your cookie prefix to wide_
Mflintjer, set yours to m_

Doesn't really matter what they are set to, as long as they are different, and you won't have that problem any longer. smile.gif
