It is a good strong possibility IE7 will beta this summer, long before the initial planned release with Longhorn. Microsoft has decided to reverse it's decision to only release browser updates with new OS's with this change of pace. Many attribute it to Firefox's growing market share (IE finally dipped below 90% of the market share for the first time since the early 1990's after Firefox's official release of 1.0), while others attribute it to the long list of scams, bugs, and schemes that make IE seem so insecure.

In any event, IE7 will only run on XP SP2 and up, and HOW it will be released remains to be determined.

There is also definite plans for a SP3 for XP...whether or not IE7 will be rolled into SP3 also remains to be determined.

I might try it out to see what's new -- but will probably stay with FireFox in the end. smile.gif

I'd like to see not getting a trojan or installed program every time i try to view pron.
Plus, i don't think IE's getting tabbed browsing anytime soon, but i wish too.

Eh, could always use MyIE2 or Avant browser, as I think both support tabbed browsing (using IE's engine).

As for Trojans...try disabling ActiveX, installing SP2 for XP (assuming you are running XP), and not saying yes to any popups. wink.gif Oh, and stay away from pron sites in general...that will help loads. tongue.gif lol
