Just so all know, the most used resolution at this time is 1024 x 768. The 2nd is 1280 x 1024. Followed by believe it or not 800 X 600.

I created this poll to get a general up to date idea on what people are using now. I had ran this poll on another site about a year ago and 1024 x 768 was the leading resolution for most users. So, since it's been a year, what are people using now?

If you are using a different resolution then what is posted for an answer please post and say which resolution you are using.

I conduct these type polls mainly for site design. As I want to focus the design mainly on what people use.

As for me, I use both 1024 x 768 and 1280 x 1024. !024 x 768 on my work computer and 1280 x 1024 on my home computer. So I voted home computer 1280 x 1024.

My desktop is 1280x1024, the one I use the most. My laptop though is 1280x800. I use another laptop running Windows XP is 1024x768 smile.gif
I also used a laptop with widescreen 1280x800 with an external (extra) flatscreen 1280x1024 in my XP days for a year +.

biggrin.gif well, 1280x1024 is my working PC so I guess that comes first. I read a lot on the others (whilst Bryce is running on the desktop, for example), play the odd game, surf.

That is big yes. I use a big resolution also at times. But when I am building or designing something I go back to 1024 x 768 so I can see better. Actually, I switch back and forth when working so I can see how things look in other resolutions.

And welcome to the site. smile.gif

First time I ever used 1280x800 res was back in Jan 2005 (HP laptop). Back then it was considerd 'unusual' with regard to wall size ect. These days, it actually feels small compared to todays 1680x1050 for example smile.gif
